William Aaron Irving CFP®
William “Aaron” Irving is the owner of Oakley & Irving Wealth Management, an Investment Advisor Representative with LPL Financial, and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ practitioner. Aaron has been a financial advisor since 2013.
Aaron graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management in 1997. Aaron began working for Walmart in college, and continued after graduation to have a successful 20-year career as a member of management in stores from Nevada to New Jersey and several states in between. Prior to leaving Walmart, Aaron was the Store Manager of the Supercenter in Carlsbad, New Mexico. After an initial career of helping people save money by offering low prices on the items they wanted to buy, Aaron now works with clients to help them build multigenerational legacies designed to uphold the values upon which they are built.
Aaron has been married to his wife Robin since 2004, and they both enjoy traveling, being active members of Sunset Church of Christ in Carlsbad, and making a positive difference in their community and the world.
Kelley McCarty
Kelley joined Oakley & Irving Wealth Management in May of 2022. Kelley is the daughter of our previous Office Manager Mindy who retired in June of 2022. Previously, Kelley worked at Tabor Law Firm and New Mexico State University in Carlsbad. Kelley works as our Office Manager in the Carlsbad Office. She calls our clients regularly to check on them and to make sure any service questions they have are answered in a timely manner. She enjoys being a friendly voice on the phone for our clients.
Kelley has been married to her husband Michael for over 20 years and has three children who keep her busy when she is not at work. Kelley has lived in Carlsbad most of her life and is a member of Emmanuel Gospel Church, where her sister-in-law is the Pastor.
Mel Mendoza
Mel joined Oakley & Irving Wealth Management in May 2016 as a Service Associate in our Artesia office. As Client Relationship Manager, Mel maintains our client information and mailing lists. She also calls our clients regularly to check on them, and to make sure any service questions they have are answered in a timely manner. She enjoys interacting with clients and striving to fulfill their needs. Prior to joining Oakley & Irving Wealth Management, Mel worked as a Manager for Wells Fargo.
Mel and her husband Jose have 6 adult children and 5 grandchildren. When she is not spending time with her family, or volunteering at her church, she is an advocate for random acts of kindness. She has an organization called A Servants Heart, in which she among other volunteers spread kindness one act at a time throughout the community.
